What does "I am Terry" mean to you?

"I am Terry" by way of adoption. I lived in Nashville, wanted to move to this part of Georgia and knew UGA would be a great place to work. Then I found Terry and I quickly learned what it meant to them to "be" Terry and how FORTUNATE I was to be, as well.

Terry students are hungry, competitive and well-prepared. Terry alumni are enthusiastic, givers and loyal to their Terry family. They are leaders. Terry faculty care about their students, guiding them through their educational experience all the way to their future employment, if at all possible. It is not enough for them to provide lessons and administer tests--they strive to provide real-world experiences, while connecting their students to alumni who can help them enter the workforce. Terry administration works relentlessly to improve programs and create even better opportunities for students and alumni alike. Terry friends give to the college's programs because they know and appreciate the impact the college has on the region, both by offering resources and by graduating tomorrow's business leaders. Terry staff are loyal cheerleaders and support for the entire above mentioned process. I am so lucky to be among those in the final category.

I am Terry.

  1. what makes me Terry is the staff who helped me complete my degree. The dedicated staff that stayed late and showed up early just to answer my questions and who helped me when I didn't know if there was anyone listening.

These are the people who have helped make me Terry because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the hunger to succeed, and to learn and to push myself. I expect more of myself because they expected more from me.

I take pride my degree from Terry because I know I have studied from the best. I have so much to offer prospective employers because of them.
